Humectants, or highly hygroscopic substances, deeply moisturize hair and are essential for maintaining its natural PEH balance. They absorb water from the environment, bind it and retain it. The humectant mask from Bioélixire’s ” Essence of Nature” series is designed to provide strands with an optimal level of hydration, nourish them, give them a beautiful healthy look, and at the same time create a protective film on their surface that protects them from harmful external influences and moisture loss. It makes it easier to comb the strands, makes them shiny and smooth. It also has a very good effect on the condition of the scalp, having an antibacterial, anti inflammatory and soothing effect.

The mask’s formula is 98% natural, vegan and based on carefully selected plant ingredients, as well as betaine, glycerin and urea. It does not contain silicones, irritants. The fragrance composition is free of allergens, so the mask is also suitable for very sensitive scalps.

It has a moisturizing, regenerating, smoothing, anti-static effect, intensively nourishes. Accelerates hair growth, soothes scalp irritation and restores its proper pH, prevents dandruff, makes it easier to comb strands.

Calendula – contains antioxidants, polysaccharides, phytosterols, phenolic acids, flavonoids and mucilage. It has a regenerative, strengthening, cleansing, antibacterial, soothing effect, nourishes and makes strands more flexible. It inhibits hair loss, gives hair shine and is good for the condition of the scalp.

Common yarrow – contains essential oils, vitamins A, C and K, flavonoids, choline and minerals (zinc, sulfur, copper and iron). It has a strengthening, conditioning and soothing effect. It normalizes the sebaceous glands, reduces greasiness and stimulates hair growth.
Witch hazel leaf – contains tannins, choline, flavonoids, saponins, antioxidants, tannins, polyphenols and gallic acid. It has a normalizing effect on the scalp, soothing, cleansing, antibacterial, astringent, anti-dandruff. It improves microcirculation and soothes inflammation of the scalp, reduces oily hair.

How to apply the humectant mask “Essence of Nature”?

The humectant mask should be gently applied to damp hair, spreading it first over the ends and then higher and higher up to the roots of the strands, avoiding rubbing them. After 3-5 minutes you can rinse it off with warm water. To achieve the effect of deep nourishment, just extend this time to 30 minutes. Remember that the mask has a strong softening effect, so the longer it stays on your hair, the softer it will become. It has been formulated so that it can be used with the CWC (conditioner/ wash/ conditioner) method of shampooing, for example at its first stage. After using the mask, it is a good idea to protect the hair with an emollient conditioner.
